 Jul 15 Young girl raises $1,000 for hospitalErin Smith 07/15/08 
Adriana Speach, an 11-year-old Baldwinsville resident, recently raised more than $1,000 to donate towards the Golisano Children’s Hospital by organizing a walk at Beaver Lake Nature Center in Lysander. Her inspiration was trying to do something positive for others during her summer vacation. Speach recruited 33 walkers and donations through word of mouth, distributed flyers and an article in the Messenger several weeks ago. “This really lets everyone know what one person, no matter what age, can really do when you just try and get a little help from your friends,” said Linda Speach, Adriana’s mother.
