When you’ve got it, flaunt it! That is exactly what the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse plans to do for its third production of the summer. The 2008 season, sponsored by M&T Bank, continues with the Regional Professional Premiere of Mel Brooks’ The Producers. With scheming characters, a Tony Award-winning score, and a clever plot inspired by the classic motion picture, The Producers promises to put audiences in stitches.
The Producers is the story of a down on his luck producer and neurotic accountant who team up to pull the con of the century. They've figured out that they can earn more from a flop than a hit, at least that's what they think.
