The Salt City Winter Antiques Show celebrates its 24th year of bringing antiques and collectors together at the Americraft Center of Progress Building, New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. Over 70,000 square feet of floor space will be devoted to quality antiques and collectibles from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

The show will feature thousands of treasures from the past, including furniture from country to formal, and primitive to classical, Oriental rugs, china, clocks, books, estate jewelry, toys, dolls, decoys, stoneware, paintings, prints and much more.

WorthPoint sponsors Appraisal Alley
WorthPoint, an online information and appraisal service, will be providing free informal appraisals employing their vast data base to discover the value of that ‘mystery’ piece.

For a small fee, formal appraisals will be provided either by inspecting the actual piece or viewing a reliable photograph. The Appraisal Alley/Worthpoint team is comprised of widely respected professional appraisers of fine art, antiquities, collectibles, home furnishings and decorative art.

The event will also include free preservation consultations with West Lake Conservator Ltd. of Skaneateles, New York. West Lake specializes in paintings, painted objects, murals, paper-based and archival documents, ephemera, photographs, textiles and frames.

In addition, there will be opportunities for showgoers to connect with dealers on the possible sale of antiques of their own, a process best done by bringing a photograph of the item(s) to show to and discuss with dealers.

“From the serious antiquer to the curious browser, showgoers will once again be able to take advantage of the quality and variety of the offerings and appraisal opportunities for which the Salt City show is known,” said Show Director Jock Hengst of Madison-Bouckville Management.

Free Parking, Shuttles and Porter Service

The hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 16, 17 and 18. Admission is $6 for a day pass. A weekend pass for $7 allows entry all three days. Children under 12 are admitted free.

There is ample free parking and a free shuttle service to the Americraft Center of Progress Building. Porter service will be available to help showgoers load and transport merchandise to their vehicles. Local shipping and delivery is also available.
