“We recently redesigned our Web site and are excited that the online ticketing component is now up and running,” said Steven Kern, the Everson Museum of Art Director. “This new component will provide visitors a fast, safe and convenient way to purchase tickets to this extraordinary exhibition.”
To purchase tickets to Turner to Cézanne, click the “tickets” button on the Everson’s homepage. Ticket prices are as follows: $10 for Everson members; $15 for non-members; $12 for children under 18, college students (with ID), Armed Forces (with ID) and seniors (65+); and $50 for the family rate (includes two adults and four dependents). Turner to Cézanne: Masterpieces of the Davies Collection, National Museum Wales, includes 53 extraordinary works of art by 29 world-renowned artists, including Cézanne, Renoir, Monet, and van Gogh. This collection is on its first tour in the United States, and Syracuse, is one of only five cities in the country hosting the exhibition. It will be on display at the Everson Museum of Art—the only stop in the Northeast—for a limited time, from Oct. 9 through Jan. 3, 2010.
The visually stunning Turner to Cézanne explores the innovations that shaped 19th century art, and features modern art from the Romantic naturalism of Turner, to the Impressionism of Monet and van Gogh and the Post-Impressionism of Cézanne.
“The Turner to Cézanne exhibition is already generating a lot of interest and we anticipate tickets to sell quickly, so we encourage people to log on to www.everson.org today to purchase tickets in advance,” Kern said. “This is your chance to see Monet’s Water Lilies, Renoir’s La Parisienne, and so much more up close, firsthand, right here in Upstate New York. This is an exhibition you do not want to miss.”
To accommodate the anticipated high attendance, the Everson is extending its hours for the duration of Turner to Cézanne. The museum will be open noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; Noon to9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The museum will remain closed on Mondays, with the exception of private tours and for designated holidays. To schedule a private tour and for more information, call 474-6064.
