Downtown Writer's Center is hosting a reading

As part of its Fall Visiting Author Series, The YMCA’s Downtown Writer's Center is hosting a reading by poets Barbara Crooker and Margaret Lloyd at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 at The Downtown Writer’s Center, located inside the Downtown YMCA.

Barbara Crooker is the author of ten chapbooks and two full-length books of poems: Radiance, winner of the 2005 Word Press First Book competition, and Line Dance (Word Press, 2008).

Her many awards include three Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Creative Writing Fellowships, and a prize from the NEA.

Margaret Lloyd was born in England of Welsh parents and grew up in Central New York. Alice James Books published her first book of poems, This Particular Earthly Scene.
Her many awards include a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Her most recent collection of poetry is A Moment in the Field: Voices from Arthurian Legend (Plinth Books).

This DWC event is free and open to the public.
