SUArts presents "At the Crossroads of American Photography: Callahan, Siskind, Sommer," 70 images that for the first time compare the work of 20th century photographers Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind and Frederick Sommer. The work of these three forms a bridge between the pure or “straight” photography of practitioners such as Ansel Adams and Edward Weston and today’s hybrid approaches.

SUArts hosts an opening reception in the Shafer Art Building's gallery on the Syracuse University campus on Thursday, January 28, 5:00 – 7:00 PM, with a talk by co-curator Claire C. Carter of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition runs through March 10.

The gallery is open Tuesday – Sunday, 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM and on Thursdays until 8:00 PM.
