
Sponsored by CFAC & Links, the 38th Annual Teenage Competitive Art Exhibition opened at CFAC on May 13th and will remain on view through August 21st, 2010.
The Syracuse Chapter of the Links, Inc. in cooperation with Community Folk Art Center and local school districts join their efforts to provide an ongoing opportunity to recognize teenagers (ages 13-19) of African American, Latino American, Native American and Asian American heritage as well as those from other underrepresented groups who demonstrate talents in the fine arts.
Some of the awards given went to the following students:

Most Eclectic: Dovenin Agbossoumonde, "Togo to Go," Nottingham High School
CFAC Director's Award (Selected by Dr. Khelli Willets): Sally Zheng, "Stop, No Don't Look at Me," Jamesville-Dewitt High School
3-Dimensional Works: 1st: Jerome Gibson, "Pride of the Reservation," LaFayette Junior-Senior High School
2-Dimensional Painting: 1st: Holly Deng, "Untitled," Jamesville-Dewitt High School
2-Dimensional Drawing: 1st: Ashley Buck, "Emma Grace," Jamesville-Dewitt High School
2-Dimensional Prints/Photography/Mixed Media: 1st: Shantese Jones, "When I Grow Up My Baby Gonna Be...," Way to Go Program/Corcoran High School
