Fred and Fritz Scherz, from the Jagermeister-sponsored, Fritz’s Polka Band (FPB) from Verona, met New York State Governor David Paterson on Tuesday Nov. 11 in Syracuse. Fred and Fritz presented Governor Paterson with a couple of their band’s CDs, including, “Reflections,” which is under consideration for a Grammy Award, and a Fritz’s Polka Band / Jagermeister t-shirt.
“My Dad and I were truly honored to meet Governor Paterson, and present him with a couple of our band’s CDs and t-shirt,” Fritz Scherz, band leader said. “Upon us giving him the CDs, he was very gracious and chatted a bit with us. In fact, he even commented that he thought perhaps the music would help him relax. This meeting wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Juliet Carhart, Tony Giardina, Delores Caruso, and our good friend of many years, New York State Senator, Joe Griffo. So, we want to publicly thank each of them!”
