During a time of slow downs and high unemployment the Town of Vienna continues to move forward. A new state mandate to upgrade security for the courts was issued in 2007 affording Judge Gilbert Rogers the opportunity to obtain the resources necessary to achieve improvements to the town hall.

Through the hard work of Judge Rogers two grants have been obtained, the last one for $16,231.05. These funds have allowed the town to give employment to local citizens and businesses like Bill Smith and Charlie Watson. They built this magnificent new Judges Bench, which is both attractive and offers more conveniences than the previous structure; wires for the speaker system will no longer be exposed and under foot.

In an endeavor to upgrade and improve the facilities there are many improvements in equipment, furnishings and surveillance , some not quite so obvious, but they all add to the security and safety of the people in the town hall while presenting a comfortable, attractive atmosphere in which to work and conduct town business; as well as providing needed employment at no cost to the town residents.
