BackgroundI have been operating heavy equipment for the last 13 years. I have worked for myself for the last 4 years doing excavating and landscaping and snow plowing in the winter months. A few things that i have done in the past that would add to my job experience as Highway Superintendent of Marcellus are that I have installed and or repaired the following: catch basins, colverts as large as 48" in diameter, concrete footers, drainage of all types, electric lines, lawns, mulch, retaining walls from huge limestone rocks to concrete blocks, septic systems, shrubs, stone driveways, topsoil and water lines. Also I have demolished a few buildings, removed large trees and much more.

Given the current economy and budget crises at the state and county levels, which areas of the budget do you feel the town could cut back to alleviate the pressure on taxpayers?>
With today's economy it seems as if everyone is cutting back on hours. I think I would try to eliminate any overtime.
In what ways do you think the town could consolidate services with villages, neighboring towns or the county to increase efficiency and keep costs down?
I think that the town could consolidate with the village to come up with a solution to pick up the trash from the village residents instead of putting it out for bid. Just an Idea to try to save money if possible.
In what area is the town most in need of improvement and how would you work to fix that?
Areas in the town that are in most need of improvement and how I would work to fix that is that I would put the residents first. If there is something that needs to be done put it at the top of the list or at least communicate with the resident. Communication is important.
