The pull lever is out and scanning ballots is in.

Voters residing in Lysander and Van Buren will see new voting machines Election Day. The Onondaga County Board of Elections has implemented numerous new digital voting machines to be used Nov. 3 throughout the county and the town of Lysander has one on display for residents to check out before the election. With the new machine, voters will fill out a ballot in a privacy booth, then insert their written choices into the machine, which scans the paper creating a digital copy of the vote.

Check out Public Access Channel Baldwinsville (channel 98) this weekend to watch a demonstration by Nicole Walsh, an Onondaga County Board of Elections representative. Walsh walks viewers through the process of using the new machine. Visit pacbtv.org for viewing times.

The Lysander Town Hall is located at 8220 Loop Road in Radisson. Remember to get out and vote this Tuesday!
