Herm Card's capture of Stephanie Miner high fiving after her victory in the campaign for Mayor of the city of Syracuse.
After an eight month campaign, yet looking fresh as a daisy, an energetic Stephanie Miner took the podium at the University Sheraton Hotel. As Syracuse's next Mayor she promised to "work hard everyday to insure that you have a mayor in city hall that you will be proud of."

After thanking friends and family, she properly addressed her position as the first female mayor of Syracuse by thanking all the grandmothers, aunts, great aunts and sisters who encouraged her to rise to her full potential.

She then thanked all the men, who were smart enough to get involved with "temperamental women," effectively embracing a handle that had been attached to her by rivals during the campaign. She also thanked her opponents by their first names, Otis (Jennings) and Steve (Kimatian).

She asked Jennings, Kimatian and residents of the city, whether they had voted for her or not, to come together and help her administration to restore Syracuse to a city of justice, a city of peace and a city of hope for all its residents.
