Staff reports 11/04/09More articles
Each year, the Belgium-Cold Springs Fire Department sponsors the Ray Smiley Memorial Golf Tournament held at Foxfire Golf Course and donates a portion of the proceeds to an organization that also serves the needs of their fire department's residents. This year, for the second year in a row, the fire department chose to donate $2,575 to Maureen's Hope Foundation that assist the cancer patients in the greater Baldwinsville Area. In the picture presenting the check from the Belgium-Cold Springs Fire Department to Maureen's Hope Foundation are (from left) Richard Lesniak, chairman of the Ray Smiley Memorial Golf Tournament, Susan Bertrand, founder of Maureen's Hope Foundation, Beverly Stone-Quinn, president of Belgium-Cold Springs Fire Department and Chris Evans, chief of Belgium-Cold Springs Fire Department.
