F-M’s Trapani to play at Pace

COLLEGE BOUND: Fayetteville-Manlius senior Emily Trapani, seen here in a 2007 game against Cicero-North Syracuse, is going to Pace University next fall for basketball. Trapani averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game in 2008-09 and is the team’s leading scorer this winter as the Hornets are off to a 5-0 start.
Emily Trapani, a senior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Pace University in Pleasantville on a full athletic scholarship. Trapani he will be admitted into the Pforzheimer Honors College at the University, majoring in political science with a concentration in international relations.
Trapani, a 6-foot power forward, averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots per game, and had 14 double-doubles in her junior year, when F-M advanced to the Section III Class AA finals.
Trapani follows in the footsteps of her father, two uncles and a cousin, in playing collegiate basketball. Emily received other offers to play for Brown, Bryant, Bentley, Brandeis and the University of Rochester.
