On Oct. 19, the Baldwinsville Central School District honored its nine Board of Education members for their dedication with a presentation of gifts during the board’s meeting. The nine community members who serve on the district’s Board of Education are: Victor Jenkins, president; Lawrence Ordway, vice president; Cynthia Cronin; James Goulet; Greg Hudson; Colin Kahl; Mark Manning; Joan Reeves; and Burrill Wells.
Jeanne Dangle, superintendent of schools, thanked the board members for generously contributing their time and talents to serve the school district. Board members serve with no monetary compensation.
On behalf of the students of the district, Ian Rucker, William Santoro, Sarah Miller, Gabriella George, James Dugan and Melanie Ragonese, fifth-graders at McNamara Elementary School, presented each board member with a gift. The gifts were ceramic sun designs that they, along with their classmates John Kresovich, George Kresovich and Brieann Obert made under the direction of their art teacher Leslie Nicoletti.
