After viewing works like Renoir’s “La Parisienne,” a Monet “Water Lilies” and J.M.W. Turner’s “The Storm, it’s hard not to want to go back and see them again. Visitors to the Everson Museum of Art are doing just that: After touring the exhibition Turner to Cézanne: Masterpieces from the Davies Collection, National Museum Wales, on display at the Everson through Jan. 3, many return to see the 53 masterpieces a second or third—or more—time.
In response to visitor demand, the Everson now offers a Turner to Cézanne season pass. For $80, museum members gain access to see the exhibition as many times as they want during museum hours. Non-members can purchase a season pass at the $80 rate by signing up for a museum membership. Prices reflect individual memberships, outlined here. The pass is nontransferable and valid only for the person who buys it.
“We’re seeing people return to the museum to see the exhibition multiple times. Our visitors are telling us that they want to see these works of art over and over again,” said Everson Director Steven Kern. “We’re listening, and hope that the season pass makes it more convenient for them to come to the museum often.”
Turner to Cézanne comprises 53 masterpieces from Monet, van Gogh, Turner, Cézanne, Manet, Pissarro, Whistler, Daumier, Corot and more. The Davies Collection is considered one the National Museum of Wales’ most remarkable treasures and one of the great British art collections of the 20th century. The exhibit is on its first tour in the United States and Syracuse the only city in the Northeast to host it.
Tickets to Turner to Cézanne can be purchased at www.everson.org or at the Everson box office, and are priced as follows: $10, Everson members; $15, adults; $12, children under 18, college students (with ID), Armed Forces (with ID) and seniors (65+); and $50, family rate (includes two adults and four dependents).
