The $4.69 million proposed budget includes a $2.336 million tax levy (amount to be raised by taxes), a .7974 general tax rate (an increase of .0873 from 2009) and a .09131 highway tax rate (a decrease of .0235 from 2009). The tax rate means for every $1,000 of assessed value for property owned in Lysander, the tax payer would pay 79.74 cents for general and 91.31 cents for highway should the budget be approved.
According to officials, there is a decrease in spending for the 2010 budget as well as a decrease in revenue.
