Today is Election Day, and voters in Camillus, Elbridge and Marcellus are heading to the polls to close one of the most active town campaign seasons in recent history.
Primaries in two towns, endorsements that led to a lawsuit and supreme court hearing, a three-way contest in one Camillus ward and a battle for the supervisor’s seat in Marcellus contributed to an unusual and exciting election season.
Today, voters will have their say.
Too easily overshadowed by politics on the national level, local government often has the most direct impact on our day-to-day lives, and is likely the level of government most accessible to residents.
