Simone left a happy hour and headed for her favorite neighborhood bar. On the way, she plowed her car head-on into a construction barrier. Unhurt and undaunted, she pulled her wrecked car into the breakdown lane of the highway and continued on her way to the bar. She was eventually pulled over and as a police officer escorted a drunk Simone away from the car she had just wrecked, she asked him to drop her not at home but at the bar where her friends waited.
The next day, Simone put down the bottle and picked up a pen. Over the last fifteen years, she’s shared through humor and the occasional dose of tears her thoughts on dating, marriage, pregnancy, motherhood and menopause with a caustic wit and a healthy disrespect for perfection, most recently through her new book, From Beer To Maternity - the first "what to expect" book for adulthood!
