Liverpool man receives Al Felmet Achievement Award

Enable Board Member Ricky Ryder was recently recognized at the annual conference of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State with the Al Felmet Achievement Award. This award is given to an individual with cerebral palsy who has demonstrated leadership and independence.

Ryder, a resident of Liverpool, works in the information technology department at Mackenzie Hughes law firm and has been a board member since 1998, currently serving as the vice president for development. He is also very active in the Liverpool Elks No. 2348, whose Major Project Board helps to raise money for Enable’s Home Service program. Ryder’s contributions of time and energy to Enable have been invaluable.

Since 1948, Enable’s mission has been to enhance the quality of life for people with developmental or physical disabilities through an array of services.Each year they provide assessment, training, therapy and support for more than 1,600 children and adults with disabilities and their families.
