Skaneateles Library plans for OCPL transition

Staff reports 12/31/09More articles
During the week of Jan. 18, the Skaneateles Library will be entering the last phase of joining OCPL — the Onondaga County Library System — with the conversion and merging of its catalog with the rest of the county.
On Jan. 21, patrons will be required to have an OCPL library card to borrow materials from the Skaneateles Library. The Skaneateles card will no longer be valid. With the OCPL card, patrons will have access to all materials in the system including our own. We are urging all patrons who haven’t already done so to get their cards by Jan. 16 so they can place holds and borrow our materials on Thursday Jan. 21.
The library will be closed for Martin Luther King Day on Jan. 18 and will reopen with regular hours on Jan. 19 but with limited service on both Jan. 19 and 20. Then, on Jan. 21, the library will resume full service once again with our regular hours.
Skaneateles Library hours for week of Jan. 18:
✓ Monday Jan. 18: closed
✓ Tuesday Jan. 19: open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Limited service)
✓ Wednesday Jan. 20: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Limited service)
✓ Thursday, January 21: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Full service resumes)
For more information on the services the library be offering on Jan. 19 and 20, please call the library at 685-5135.
