Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection (HW-SC) has promoted two employees from Baldwinsville.
Lisa Berardi has been named director of operations and employment and Michael Olsen has been named enrichment and service learning coordinator.
In her new role as director of operations and employment, Berardi is responsible for ensuring the success of the program’s systematic and programmatic operations while expanding the core components of HW-SC’s model. More specifically, she will execute a robust employment component, ensure team management and development, program delivery, quality control and evaluation. Berardi has worked at HW-SC for more than eight years and previously served as team manager within the organization. She lives in Baldwinsville with her family.
Olsen was promoted to enrichment and service learning coordinator. In his new role, he is responsible for developing enrichments and service learning projects for students participating in the program including the evidence-based Teen Outreach Program and guest speaker series. He previously was a HW-SC Youth Advocate at Frazer School. Olsen resides in Baldwinsville with his fiancée.
HW-SC is a nationally-recognized youth development program that helps students stay in school, achieve academic success and graduate high school with the skills and confidence they need to be successful at home, at college, and at the workplace.
