The Baldwinsville Rotary Club honored four employees of local businesses and agencies at a Pride of Workmanship Awards Dinner held Monday Sept. 27 at Tabatha's Family Tree Restaurant.
The four honorees and nominating employers were: Michele Eckler, by S. G. Arvantides, D.D.S.; Lt. Thomas LeRoy, by the Baldwinville Police Department; Diane Ruffolo, by the Beaver Lake Animal Hospital; and Amy Shaw, by The Insurance Place Agency, LLC.
Keynote speaker was Robert Bitz whose topic was "What has happened to Pride of Workmanship at the Top."
This brings the Baldwinsville Rotary Club to a total of 66 awards presented recognizing "Pride of Workmanship" since the program began in 1992. The objective is to encourage employers, through Rotary, to recognize employees displaying talent and the positive attitude meriting the award. Criteria for selecting recipients are job competence, punctuality, consistency of effort, interest and enthusiasm, the maintenance of a pleasant yet businesslike relationship with co-workers and clients, and consistency in doing the job right the first time.
Rotarians are business and professional leaders who volunteer in their communities in a variety of ways. If you are interested in what the Baldwinsville Rotary Club is doing here in Baldwinsville and would like to know more about Rotary, there will be an informational meeting held Wednesday evening, Oct. 27 at the Canal Walk Cafe. Desserts will also be served.
