John J. McKeraghan, 23, of Greene Street, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 25, 2007 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. He was born Jan. 29, 1984 in Hamilton, a son of Roger and Diane Shantal McKeraghan.
John graduated from the Job Corps of Oneonta on June 25, 2002 and received his GED and welding certificate. Following graduation, he began his career as a self-employed welder.
Surviving are his girlfriend, Betti Lewinski of Schenectady; his parents, Roger and Diane McKeraghan of Earlville; his grandmother, Elizabeth Shantal of Madison; his sisters and brothers, Jessica and David Pickett and Jenna McKeraghan, all of Earlville, Kristina and Max Calkins and Regina and Andy Hogan, all of Fulton, Jeremiah McKeraghan and his girlfriend, Hillary Kern of Norwich, Joshua McKeraghan of Earlville, Jacquis and Maryann McKeraghan of Sherburne and James and Barbara McKeraghan of Fulton; two nephews, Anthon and Donte Pickett and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Leon J. “Mike” Shantal, Gertrude “Betty” Greene and Howard and Barbara McKeraghan.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville followed by interment in the Earlville Cemetery. Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the funeral home.
