10/20/09 Southard, David G., Sr.
David G. Southard, Sr., 68, of Liverpool, died Tuesday October 20, 2009, of heart complications. Born in Burlington, VT, he was a graduate of the University of Vermont and was an U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Southard lived in Central NY for over 30 years and retired in 1992 as finance director for the U.S. Postal Service in Syracuse and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Bayberry.
David is survived by his two sons, David, Jr. of Onondaga Hill and James (Elena) of Liverpool; a daughter, Sheryl Lyn (Bob) Herman of Liverpool; a sister, Carol (Tom) Farina of Hughesville, PA; two brothers, Michael (Ann) of West Rutland, VT and Wendell of Leesburg, FL; and David’s companion, Joy Stevens of North Syracuse.
A service of celebration of Mr. Southard’s Life: 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 24 in United Church of Christ in Bayberry, 215 Blackberry Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. Contributions may be made to United Church of Christ in Bayberry.
