11/03/09 Blair, Caleb B.
Caleb B. Blair, 19, Fisk Road, Eaton, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, 2009, at his family residence following a brief illness.
Born in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Hartford, on March 20, 1990, he was the son of David J. and Barbara A. Canning Blair. A resident of the area, for the past 14 years, moving from Old Forge, Caleb was a student in the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District. He was of the Catholic faith.
Caleb’s parents, brothers and family felt extremely blessed to be chosen to bring Caleb into this world, having the number of years they did have and how he touched so many lives.
Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Jacob P. Blair and Joshua E. Blair, both at home; his paternal grandparents, George and Sheila Blair of Oneida; his maternal grandparents, Mary E. and Alan Seely of Fayetteville and Loyal and Martha Canning of Wampsville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 7 from St. Joseph’s Church, Oneida, where the funeral mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Richard Kapral, pastor. Interment will be made in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours: 3 to 7 p.m. Friday Nov. 6 at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Caleb B. Blair Nursing scholarship fund, % Oneida Savings Bank, 182 Main Street, Oneida, NY 13421. Envelopes for this fund may be obtained at the funeral home.
