11/04/09 Frick, Stanley H.
Stanley H. Frick, 89, West Fifth Street, Oneida Castle, died Wednesday Nov. 4, 2009, in the Emergency Room of the Oneida Healthcare Center, shortly after his admission as a medical patient, while rehabilitating at the Extended Care Facility .
Born in Montreal, Quebec, on September 22, 1920, he was the son of Harry and Eva Randall Frick. A resident of this area for the past sixty years, Stanley was educated in Ogdensburg schools. He married Dorothy Poehlman in Ogdensburg on October 11, 1948.
Prior to his retirement in 1984, Mr. Frick was employed with Syracuse Supply Company. A veteran of World War II, he served with the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theatre. Stan was a member of the Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, Sherrill Post # 230, and the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers, Local 545.
Surviving besides his wife, Dorothy, are two daughters, Leah Ann and her husband, Arthur Egy of East Syracuse and Judith Frick and her husbasnd , Robert Fresen of Wethersfield, Connecticut; one sister, Harriet Williams of Jamesville; one brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Anne Frick of St. John’s Virgin Island; three grandchildren, Travis, Scott and Taylor Egy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with Pastor Peg Ward, officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will be made in Oneida Castle Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 1-2 PM, Sunday, prior to the service. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Oneida Castle Cemetery Association, c/o Don Lanz, 124 North Lake Street, Oneida 13421 or the Oneida Castle Fire Department, Sholtz Road, Oneida Castle, NY 13421. Envelopes for these funds may be obtained at the funeral home.
