10/28/09 Campagna, Filomena
Filomena “Phylis” Campagna, 82, formerly of 502 W. Elm St., Oneida, died early Wednesday morning Oct. 28, 2009, in the extended care facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
Phylis was born on Jan. 29, 1927 in New York City, and was the daughter of John and Carmela Castalano Campiglia.  She was educated in New York City and has been a resident of the area since 1948.  Phylis married Samuel J. Campagna on May 29, 1948.  Mr. Campagna died on August 22, 2005. 
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Campagna was employed as a sales clerk with the former WT Grants Store and also had been employed with  Oneida Molded Plastics.  She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Gerald Seeber of Baldwinsville and Carmela and Kenneth Endemann of Oneida, one brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Myra Campiglia of California; two sisters, Mary Campiglia of New York City and Anna Vanna of Middletown; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Jason and Kevin Hanifin, Ryan and Carrie Costello and Mark Seeber, Jude, Jeffrey and Jonathan Seeber, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Keith Seeber on Aug. 1, 2006. “Live life to the fullest”.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 7 from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Richard Kapral, officiating.  Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery.  There are no prior calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Extended Care Facility Patient’s Fund, c/o Oneida Healthcare Center Foundation, P.O.Box 705, Oneida, NY 13421.
