10/30/09 Madle, Allen G.
Allen G. Madle, 62, of South Peterboro Street, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday Oct. 30, 2009 at his home after being stricken by a coronary attack.
Born in Flushing on Feb. 16, 1947, he was the son of Geoffrey and Ann Vanderbeek Madle. A resident of Canastota since November 2006, Allen was educated in Flushing. He received his college education at St. John’s University. Allen married Agnes Leslie in Riverhead, Long Island on March 1, 1967.
He was currently employed by the State University of New York, Institute of Technology in Utica as a professor of economics. Allen was of the Christian faith.
Surviving besides his wife Agnes are one daughter, Patricia Arevalos of Canastota; three grandchildren, Alexis Madle, Jessica Madle and Nicholas Arevalos; two great-grandchildren, Damian Madle and Nathan Madle. He was predeceased by one daughter, Eileen M. madle on September 25, 2008.
In keeping with Allen’s wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 South Peterboro Street, Canastota. Contributions, in Allen’s name, may be made to the Wanderer’s Rest Humane Association, P.O.Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.
