11/05/09 Cushing, Wilson J.
Wilson J. (Cusani) Cushing, 88, of East Syracuse, passed away on Thursday Nov. 5, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Rochester. Wilson retired from the US Air Force in 1967 having served in WWII and the Korean Was. He received two distinguished Fly Crosses and 11 Air Medals. He also retired in 1999 as a business development director having worked for GE, Emerson and Feranti International. Wilson attended Holy Cross Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Valadameri Josepe and Irma Murat, his twin brother, Rougner Cushing and a granddaughter, Amy Abley.
Survivors: his wife of 57 years, Marvelina Cushing, two daughters, Donna (John) Abley of MA, and Tamara Magari of East Syracuse; a son, Kevin (Tammy) Cushing of Saudi Arabia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church, East Genesee Street, DeWitt. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
