11/05/09 Graves, Franklin D.
Franklin D. Graves, 86, died Nov. 5, 2009 at Crouse Community Center, Morrisville.
A native of Central Square, NY, he was the son of Frank and Viola (Basye) Graves. He served in the Army during WWII, receiving an Honorable Discharge on July 4, 1946. He was the recipient of the good Conduct Medal and a World War II Victory Medal. After his military service, he returned to Central New York, settling in the Bouckville/Morrisville area, where he was a self-employed “handyman”.
He is survived by his brother, Lester of Central Square, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Folger and Clifford, and a sister, Frances Chapel.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Sunday Nov. 8 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
Calling hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday Nov. 8, prior to the service.
Graveside services and interment: 1 p.m. Monday Nov. 9 at the Hillside Cemetery, Central Square, NY.
In lieu of flowers, Franklin’s family would appreciate contributions to the Crouse Community Center, Employee Fund, 101 South St., Morrisville, NY 13408. The family would like to express sincere thanks to all the employees for their seven years of compassionate care.
