10/20/09 Heister, Robert M.
Robert M. Heister, 89, of Manlius, passed away on Tuesday Oct. 20, 2009 at The Crossings in Minoa. He was born in Bellevue, KY, and earned a Masters Degree in Accounting at Xavier University where he and his twin brother played football. He served with the US Army Air Corps during WWII and also served with the National Guard.
Bob was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Manlius and served as an usher for many years. He loved his God, Country, family and golf.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne and a son, Michael.
Survivors: his son, Tom Heister of Fayetteville; daughters-in-law, Audrey Heister and of Fayetteville and Nancy Heister of Syracuse; his twin brother, Richard of Cold Springs, KY; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Services: 10:15 a.m. Friday Oct. 23 from Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, Manlius. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 22 at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
