10/30/09 Way, Gertrude A.
Gertrude A. Way, 87, formerly of Valley Road, Madison, passed away peacefully on Friday Oct. 30, 2009, at Harding’s Nursing Home.
She was born in Eaton, on Dec. 27, 1921, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethelyn Clark Way. Gertrude had graduated from Madison Central School. She had worked at the form SUNY Morrisville where she had worked in food service. She had previously worked at Utica Knitting Mill in Oriskany Falls, and had been a telephone operator for NY Telephone at Hamilton’s switchboard.  She was a member of the Bouckville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Hilda Ford of Oriskany Falls, and Alice (Charles) Budlong of Waterville. Several nieces and nephews also survive Gertrude.
Her brothers Harold, William, and Everett, and her brother-in-law, Arthur Ford predeceased Gertrude.
Funeral services: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 3, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison with the Rev. Elaine White, pastor, of the Bouckville United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery.  Calling hours: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 3 prior to the service at the funeral home.
