11/02/09 Gerhart, Frank L.
Frank L. Gerhart, 88, of Marcellus, died Monday Nov. 2, 2009, at the home of his daughter in Watertown under Hospice care. Born in Leeper, PA, to Louis and Sarah Gerhart, Frank was a native of Kane, PA, and lived in Marcellus for more than 50 years. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, serving aboard the USS Christina in the Atlantic. Frank retired in 1984 after 35 years with Syracuse Supply Heavy Equipment, and then after 20 years retired from S&S Tractor Parts, Inc., Marcellus. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years Agnes (Pat) Gerhart in March of 2009.
Surviving are two sons Ronnie (Kay) King of Smethport, PA, and Dana (Beth) Gerhart of Groton; one daughter Cheryl (Ron Frost) Gerhart of Watertown; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers Louis, Robert, and Francis all of Kane, PA, John of Oakland, CA; three sisters Jane Reed, Gloria Swanson and Pearl Benson all of Kane PA; several nieces and nephews.
There were no calling hours. Memorial graveside service: Monday Nov. 9 at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
