10/26/09 Sigsbee, Donald M.
Donald M. Sigsbee, 74, of Madison, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009.
He was born in Madison on May 25, 1935, the son of Robert and the late Ester Mumford Sigsbee. Don was a graduate of Madison Central School. He had served in the Army. On Sept. 6, 1958, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oriskany Falls, he married Margaret “Peg” Fleming. Don was known for his excellent woodworking, carpentry, and cabinet making skills. He was also known as an avid bowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Peg; his father, Robert, of Hamilton; his children and their spouses, James and Robin Sigsbee of Vernon Center, Donna and James Weeks of Oriskany Falls, Robert and Debbie Sigsbee of West Winfield, Gerald and Nina Sigsbee of Newport News, Va., Ronald and Kimberly Sigsbee of Clifton Park, Sharon and Scott Young of Clinton, and Theresa and Robert Kuhn of Marion; 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held on Thursday Oct. 29. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
