10/25/09 Norton, R. Page
R. Page Norton, 76, of Camillus, passed away Sunday Oct. 25, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Clarks Summit, PA on Tuesday Jan. 3, 1933, he was the son of R. Page Norton Sr. and Madeline Louise Phelps Norton. He spent his early years in Clarks Summit and Windsor, NY. Page later moved to the Syracuse area in 1952 and lived in Camillus for the past 25 years. He was an Army veteran. He was employed for 35 years by Allied Chemical Corp., retiring in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of 51 years; son, Michael Norton of Valley Cottage; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tim Welch of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Tyler Norton and Daniel and Paige Welch; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Bob Smith of Lee, New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no services. Calling hours: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 28 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
