11/05/09 Hayduke, Dorothy M.
On the morning of Thursday Nov. 5, 2009, Dorothy M. Hayduke, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her family at her home.
Dorothy was born on Aug. 22, 1925 in Madison, the daughter of the late Harry S. and Lulu M. Buckley Peckham.  She was a graduate of Madison Central School.  Dorothy and Tommy Hayduke were united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1947, by Dorothy's brother Rev. Augustus Peckham and Rev. Adolph Knapp. Their loving union lasted 62 years until Tommy’s passing on Sept. 15, 2009. Dorothy retired from Madison Central School in 1998, where she had worked many years in the cafeteria.
She also assisted Tommy in the operation of their dairy farm.  Dorothy had been the organist for the Augusta Presbyterian Church and the Madison United Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church.
She is survived, her daughter Diane English of Madison, a son T. Charles Hayduke and his wife Kathy also of Madison, a daughter Barbara Taylor and her partner, James Visentin of Brookfield; beloved grandchildren, Tracey Lewis, Wendy Eastman, Renee Neidhart, Benjamin English, Carolyn Kozak, Brian English, Robert Hayduke, Nichole Hayduke, Elizabeth Taylor and Jason Taylor; beloved great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brett, Hiedi, and Keith Lewis, Bobby, Chloe, and Molly Eastman, Indy, and Ryan Neidhart, and Callie and Joss Kozak; a brother and sister in law, Robert and Donna Peckham of Madison; sisters in law, Pauline Peckham of New Hartford, Erma Jean Jones of Eaton, Anita Peckham of Madison and Helen Pisiak of Frederick, MD; and a brother in law, Alyn Hughes, Sr. of Madison.
Dorothy is predeceased by son Stephen T. Hayduke of Madison, her brothers, Rev. Augustus Peckham, Ronald Peckham, Charles Peckham, Grant Peckham, Roger Peckham, and Jack Peckham; her sisters, Effa DePuy, Ida Williams, and Anna Jeanne Hughes.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Monday Nov. 9 at the Madison United Methodist Church.  Interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery.  Calling hours: 1-4 pm Sunday Nov. 8 at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
