10/30/09 Stewart, Ronald Ronald Stewart, 80, of Mattydale passed away peacefully Oct. 30, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. Born Nov. 21, 1928 in West Monroe NY, he moved to Syracuse in 1940 where he graduated from Valley OVA in 1948. He retired after 40 years of service at General Electric where he served in the RTV and heavy military division. He also served in Field Service for 17 years where he traveled to the Phillipines, Hawaii, Japan, Europe and all over the United States. He especially enjoyed being a lifetime member of Liverpool Elks Lodge #2348, GE Survivors Club and attending GE LeMoyne and Wally Luncheons. He treasured his times fishing and hunting with his brother-in-law, Carl Shaw of Camillus and beloved Uncle Melvin of Constantia. He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Ann Claire Dunn in 1992, parents, Clair Wayne and Neva Lowella Stewart and sister Shirley Shaw. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and longtime companion, Jean Buddie of Mattydale, son, Tim and daughter-in-law Jenny of Perkinston, MS, daughter Terry Stewart of Sunnyvale, CA, son Tom and daughter-in-law Carol of Ontario, CA, daughter Tracy and son-in-law David Parillo of Grand Bay, AL, son Todd and daughter-in-law Linda of Magnolia, DL, daughter Tori Coats of Liverpool, daughter, Tammy and son-in-law Steven Asch of Cicero. He also has 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services: 9:15 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 3 at the Maurer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church with burial to follow in West Monroe Cemetery. Calling hours: 4-7 p.m. Monday Nov. 2 at the funeral home 300 Second St., Liverpool.
