John (Jack) Canty, a performance improvement expert, is joining the Syracuse office of JC Jones & Associates, LLC, an award-winning profit improvement and turnaround consulting firm.
As a professional consultant for the firm, Canty is helping JC Jones’ clients across a wide range of industries to identify opportunities for financial performance improvement. As part of its management advisory services, JC Jones helps companies with profit improvement and turnaround, mergers and acquisitions and audit advisory support, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Canty joins JC Jones after holding a number of senior-level financial and operational positions at several respected manufacturing companies. He served as vice president of operations for Advanced Motors & Drives, Inc., and vice president of finance at Agway Energy Products, LLC, both in Syracuse. He also was a longtime division controller at ITT Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, N.Y. and a general practice manager at Coopers & Lybrand in Albany.

A certified public accountant (CPA) in New York state, Canty earned a bachelor of science degree from Alfred University. He currently serves on the advisory board for Strategic Communications, LLC in Syracuse.
Canty is a resident of Skaneateles.
