Two charged after burglary

After an investigation into a burglary at the Main Street Market several months ago, yesterday Canastota Police Officer Sabrina Paladino arrested Erik J. Halladay, 21, of 7376 Wheeler Road in Chittenango. Halladay was charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petty larceny, both Class A misdemeanors.

Halladay was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail with bail set at $1,000 cash and $2,000 bond.

In connection to the burglary Paladino also charged Jamie L. Palley, 19, of 113 Caroline St., Canastota for criminal possession of stolen property, a Class A misdemeanor.

Palley was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail with bail set at $250 or $1,000 bond.

Halladay and Palley are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
