Madison County Sherrif's blotter Nov. 17 Sean McCann, 29, of Pompey Hollow Road, Cazenovia was arrested on charges of grand larceny in third degree with a value greater than $3,000. Nov. 18 Melanie Severance, 23, of Peterboro Street, Canastota was arrested on charges of criminal contempt in the second degree. Nov. 21 Ashley Schiller, 24, of Conifer Drive, Lenox was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. Trisha Neal, 18, of Briggs Road, Hamilton was arrested on charges menacing in the second degree. Raymond Shlotzhauer, of West Court Street, Rome, was arrested while at the Oneida Police Department on an active probation warrant out of the Town of Sullivan Court. DeRuyter man charged with DWI A DeRuyter man was charged with aggravated DWI, unsafe backing and other traffic offenses after an accident on Oct. 27 at the DeRuyter Senior Housing Apartments. New York State Police in Morrisville were called to investigate a motor vehicle accident at the apartments on Cortland Street in the village of DeRuyter. The investigation revealed that at about 8 p.m., Kenneth L. Mullenax, 65, a tenant of the apartments was trying to park his vehicle in the apartment parking lot, troopers said. Mullenax drove his 1993 Toyota mini-van up over the sidewalk and struck a parking sign, causing extensive damage to the front of his vehicle... Malura, 42, of West Street, Oneida, was issued an appearance ticket Oct. 16 to appear in Oneida City Court Oct. 20 to answer a charge of animal abuse. He is alleged to have abandoned and fail to provide medical care to an animal he owned. David J. Grossman, 18, of Stonybrook Road, Vernon, was issued an appearance ticket Oct. 16 to appear in Oneida City Court Oct. 30 to answer a charge of unlawful possession of marihuana. Oct. 19 John Q. Means, 40, was arrested Oct. 19 on a charge of failure to register address as required as a sex offender, a class E felony. Means was arraigned and committed to the Madison County jail in lieu of bail set at $2,500 to appear Oct. 23. Syracuse Police assisted with the arrest. No address was given for Means. Teresa M... Woman passes stopped school bus, charged with DWI Morrisville State Troopers arrested Alison N. Mandriota, 18, of Bayport, on Oct. 9 following a traffic stop on State Route 20 in the village of Morrisville. Mandriota was stopped after she passed a Morrisville-Eaton Central Schools school bus that was stopped and had its red lights activated. Mandriota was charged with driving while intoxicated. She was processed at State Police in Morrisville, where a breath sample of .11 BAC% was obtained. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, and passing a stopped school bus. Mandriota was released on tickets to appear in the Village of Morrisville Court on Oct. 21... Madison County Sheriff's blotter Sept. 23 Scott J. Barrett, 44, of Damen Road, Bridgeport, was arrested on charges of criminal tampering in the third degree in the village of Wampsville. Jessica L. Baker, 34, of Chamberlain Road, Lebanon, was arrested Sept. 23 on charges of petit larceny in the town of Morrisville. Randall J. Hutchings, 20, of Knapp Street, Sherburne, was arrested Sept. 23 on charges of driving while intoxicated, speed violation and unreasonable speed and special hazards. Hutchings was arrested at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. Sept. 24 Roger A. Brocious of Crumb Hill Road, Georgetown, reported a burglary of his residence Sept. 24. There were seven firearms stolen, valued at $2,668. The firearms were stolen from Brocious’ gun cabinet, which is located in the living room... Motorcyclist dies after doing a ‘wheelie’ in Lenox Madison county Undersheriff Doug Bailey reports that deputies are continuing their investigation into a fatal motorcycle-van crash that occurred at about 1:13 p.m. Sept. 19. on New Boston Road in the town of Lenox. The motorcyclist, Joshua P. Smith, 24, of 97 North St., Auburn, was transported to Oneida Healthcare Facility by the Greater Lenox Ambulance Service where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The Canastota Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene, while deputies were assisted at the scene by a New York State Police patrol. Smith was operating a motorcycle in westerly direction on the New Boston Road with a large group, estimated to be in excess of at least 2 to 30 motorcycles... Oneida Police blotter Sept. 11 Jeremy Perry, 21, of Main Street, Munnsville, was arrested Sept. 11 on a bench warrant for allegedly failing to appear on a forgery in the second degree charge. He was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail to appear Sept. 18. Sept. 15 Rodney C. Ortman, 41, of North Main Street, Oneida was charged Sept. 15 with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree. He will appear Oct. 9 in Oneida City Court. Sept. 16 Travis Kozak, 19, of Turin Road, Rome, was issued an appearance ticket Sept. 16 for unlawful possession of marihuana. He will appear Sept. 25. Sept. 17 John A. Ferraro, 32, of Pine Ridge Road, Canastota, was charged Sept. 17 with driving while intoxicated, operating with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol and speed in zone... Gardner, 34, of Genesee Street, Oneida, was issued an appearance ticket Aug. 23 to appear in Oneida City Court Sept. 4 to answer a charge of allegedly violating the city park curfew. Janet. L. Aley, 40, of Prospect Street, Oneida, was charged Aug. 23 with petit larceny and issued an appearance ticket to appear Sept. 4. Aley is alleged to have stolen merchandise from Becs Place. Jonathan M. Harp, 25, of East Walnut Street, Oneida, was issued a criminal summons Aug. 23 to appear in Oneida City Court Sept. 4 to answer a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Oneida Police Blotter Aug. 25 Cesar Montanez, 31, of Main Street, Oneida, was charged Aug. 25 with dog-at-large and allowing a dog to become a nuisance-dangerous dog. Montanez is alleged to own a dog that attacked and bit another person causing injuries. He will appear Sept. 1 at the Oneida City Court Raymond L. Ferguson Jr., 22, of Eddy Road, Canastota, was charged Aug, 25 with endangering the welfare of a child and trespass. Ferguson and a second subject are alleged to have engaged in a verbal dispute in the 200 block of Williams Street around 2:05 p.m. Aug. 25 in which led to a knife being displayed and a victim being chased and threatened. Ferguson is alleged to have chased the victim through backyards with a second suspect that was armed with a knife while children were playing in the backyards... Arrested Aug. 14 on charges of Driving while Intoxicated, Operating with .08 of one percent or more of alcohol and Driving on the shoulder. He will appear Aug. 21. Alicia Lillie 35 Lincoln Ave. Oneida was issued an appearance ticket on Aug 12. To appear in Oneida City Court Aug. 18 to answer a violation of the city trash ordinance. Martin O. Pope 19 Lexington Ave. Oneida was issued a criminal summons on Aug. 16 to appear in Oneida City Court Sept. 4 to answer charges of Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and Menacing in the third degree.
