New best friends?

jbrenneman, Outbursts
History will have the finale say when it comes to the Bill Clinton legacy, but for the moment lets say that his recent mood swings and his failed attempt to help in his wifes campaign have not shown him at his best. Perhaps if he can overcome his pride and give his ego a vacation a public reconciliation with Barrack Obama might help him regain some of that popularity he left office with. Then again he is Bill Clinton and if we've learned anything it's that he will always do what he can for his own self interest above all else. Ironically I'm a fan of the guy, but I think his time has passed...

Carry on luggage

jbrenneman, Outbursts
If they could get away with it I'm sure that the airlines would actually rent out space in the overhead compartments to parents with noisy children. That way they could sell more seats and make people with an aversion to children happy that they no longer have to sit next to them...

Alternative fuel

jbrenneman, Outbursts
The search for an alternative to the ever increasing cost of gas may lead some people to think so far outside of the box that they may at first seem a bit mad, but when ten dollars a gallon arrives the only ones who will seem truly crazy are the people still driving automobiles...

Modern Kid

I know that this is going to show my age, but remember when childhood actually involved being a child? From the moment they receive their first cell phone they begin their soul sucking journey to adult hood...

Stock shock

jbrenneman, Outbursts
Recession or depression, it all depends on your perspective and as with most things in life perception is reality. The best advice I can give is buy a big mattress and quietly place all your money in it. Remember to hope for the best, expect the worst and always be prepared for the unexpected and you should be fine...

Off the tracks

jbrenneman, Outbursts
I think by now we all can agree upon the fact that the U.S economy is in a bit of a slump. Gas prices are astronomical, food prices are at a point where a person might consider rationing and the housing market is abysmal. The problem is that we've done this to ourselves by assuming that buying and owning things is a God given right and that greed is a national past time. The last time I looked the constitution doesn't mention the right to have more and consume more than your fellow Americans. The purpose of life should never be to aquire more than anyone around you and then complain when it's taken away from you. Maybe if we all down sized our expections in life we wouldn't have to face the prospect of being told you can no longer afford your American dream...

Obamas world tour08

jbrenneman, Outbursts
Barrack Obamas debut on the world stage has me pondering this, after eight years of a man who can bairly pronounce his own name is the world truly ready for an articulate President who if anything pronounces words too correctly? The rest of the planet is so accustomed to a bumbling fool that the prospect of a U.S President that can pronounce the names of their countries correctly might cause them to lay down their arms and actually begin to negotiate just because he appears to show respect for those who are different from him. Then again I'm just a cartoonist in search of a cheap laugh, but it's a thought...

How to lose a race?

jbrenneman, Outbursts
The moral of this story is apparent. When you think you have it all figured out and are one hundred percent certain of its outcome the results may surprise you. Although the Media and a great deal of voters believe that Barrack Obama is going to be the next President history has a way of proving even the most informed of us completly wrong...

Choosing a VP

jbrenneman, Outbursts
Some people like to think that the process of picking a Vice Presidential running mate is a long drawn out complicated series of interviews and sleepless nights of mental anguish followed by months of test runs in the media to see what kind of buzz the prospective candidates can generate. I on the other hand believe it is much more simplier than that. Names in a hat or on a dart board is all you need. Once you've made your choice then the fun begins and four to eight years later you are either clebrating the wisdom of your decision or hiding your face in shame. Politics can be fun if the world isn't destroyed in the process...
