In a country where people will wait in line for not only hours but days just to buy an I-phone it's amazing how much they'll complain when they have to stand in line to vote...

Election day 2008 and as we all do our patriotic duty and stand in line complaining about standing in line to vote let's take a moment and remember all the people that have come before us who never had the right to vote. Think about all those who sacrificed themselves so that we could finally reach a point in our history where an African American man has the possibility of becoming the President. I knew we had it in us I just thought it would take a few more generations. Happy voting everyone! I realize Sarah Palin as Vice President is equally as historic but although I'm not a fan of hers I think that her chances of being in the White house will only increase if she does like Obama and surrounds herself with people who have a more diverse view of the world than her own...

Under normal circumstances raising children can be challenging. Can you imagine the challenges the Obamas will face now that they are going to be moving into the White house? From everything I've seen the Obamas appear to be very good parents and I'm sure that won't change. You can only imagine what it will be like to have to decide who gets what bedroom or which one is first daughter and which one must live with the title of second daughter. Leading the free world might end up being an easy task compared to the job of parenting...

What a surprise the bailout is apparently in need of an infusion of cash. Just when we thought things could not get any worse they do exactly that. It appears that things are going to have to hit below rock bottom before anybody actually begins to think that the financial foundation of this country is crumbling beneath us. I vote for the barder system. At least if the currency is fruits, vegetables and livestock we won't starve...

Apparently now that the election is over Sarah Palin has decided it's time for her to open up and speak to the nation. And speak, and speak, and speak.....
I have to admit she's fun to listen to but if she really is serious about running again in 2012 she would be better off if she went away for awhile and took some courses in world affairs, diplomacy, political science, geography etc... I would never admit to knowing everything but I will admit that I don't know what I don't know and that is the problem with Mrs. Palin. She may have the whole folksy thing down but when it comes to world issues she is out of her league. One more thing. For a person who is so anti-media she has certainly gone out of her way this week to be seen and heard on every media outlet in the free world... CATEGORY: General Society

Welcome to bizzaro world where billions of dollars are spent to bail out Wall Street and programs are cut from school budgets. When we're young we're taught that crime doesn't pay but apparently if you work on Wall Street it does...

The one question I have at this time of economic upheaval is a simple one. If the leaders of big business can ask for a massive bailout that they won't ever have to pay back then why can't I have a little extra for Christmas this year? Being a Cartoonist is not the highest paying job, that is when it actually pays so it's only natural that I would ask for a bailout. Like many people in this country I am the victim of my own choices and thus believe that I should be rewarded for the mistakes that I have made so that in the future if I should chose to do so again I can make the very same mistakes with the full knowledge that the only result will be more money so that I can start the whole process over again...
